FAQs
How does one plan cover multiple projects?
Every plan gets one Supabase instance. Each project on it is a separate Postgres database with its own API URL (like app-one.acme.supahosting.com), anon and service-role keys, auth users, storage buckets and Edge Functions. Projects share the instance’s CPU and RAM, and your plan’s database, storage and egress quotas.
How is Auth really unlimited?
Auth runs on your instance, not a metered multi-tenant service. Since you’re paying for the compute that runs it, there’s no reason to cap monthly active users. Whether you have 100 or 1 million users, the price stays the same.
What’s the difference between Builder and Pro?
Builder runs on a shared VM — ideal for side projects — and pauses after 7 days idle. Pro gives you a dedicated VM with 2 vCPU / 4 GB RAM, 15 projects, 10 GB of database, 7-day point-in-time recovery, direct Postgres and pooler access, system metrics and a 99.9% SLA. Pro never pauses.
What if I need more projects?
Add them for $3 per project per month beyond your plan’s included count, or upgrade — Builder includes 5, Pro 15, Business 30 and Enterprise unlimited.
What happens if I exceed storage or egress limits?
We never throttle or shut down your instance. You’ll get alerts at 80%, 90% and 100% of each quota, and any overage is billed at transparent per-unit rates on your next invoice — or you can upgrade at any time.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Every plan starts with a 14-day free trial, so you can build, test and validate before you pay anything.
Can I migrate from Supabase Cloud?
A migration tool for your database, Auth users, storage and Edge Functions is in development. Until it ships, get in touch and we’ll help you move.
Where are the servers located?
Choose a region when you create your instance: US Central, US West, US East, Belgium, London, Frankfurt, Singapore, Sydney or Tokyo. Enterprise plans can request additional regions.
Which PostgreSQL extensions are supported?
We support all extensions that Supabase supports, including pgvector, PostGIS, pg_cron, pg_net, pgjwt, plv8 and 50+ more. If you need an extension that isn’t listed, contact us and we’ll add it.
How do custom domains work?
Add your domain in the dashboard, point a CNAME at your SupaHost subdomain and click Verify — SSL is issued automatically through Cloudflare. Builder includes 1 custom domain, Pro 3, Business 10 and Enterprise unlimited.
